AI & Authorship

Mode Rebel is human-authored work.

I conceive the ideas, write and shape the narratives, direct the visual language, design the interactions, make the creative and architectural decisions, edit film and creative pieces, write code, and take responsibility for what is released.

AI is also an important part of my studio practice. I use it for exploration, prototyping, coding, visual development, research, non-creative/supporting writing, and other forms of creative and technical assistance. In some works, its role is substantial.

I see AI as a tool and collaborator within the process — not a substitute for authorship. The work still comes from my judgment, labour, curiosity, and intent.

Where a particular piece uses AI in a way that is materially relevant to the experience itself, I aim to say so.
